Custom business applications · AI assistants

You bent your business to fit your software. We build the opposite.

What if you could also have an AI that truly knows your trade?

We build the application that follows the way you work, module by module, then add AI assistants that know your trade. You see it as a mock-up before you commit, and you pay no build cost.

Small improvements included in the subscription

Sound familiar?

Three situations we see almost everywhere.

  1. 01

The spreadsheet has become the software.

Three versions are in circulation, only one is right, and nobody is sure which. A copy error surfaces at the end of the month.

  2. 02

Off-the-shelf software does part of the job.

The rest lives in workarounds, exports and side files. Only one person knows how it all holds together.

  3. 03

The field reports back by phone, photo and sticky note.

The report gets rewritten in the office at night, and management learns where things stand a week late.

01What we build, and the AI we add to it

An application built around you. Not one more piece of software.

We start by watching you work. Not your org chart: your days. What you do well, we keep as it is in the application. What serves no purpose, we remove: the line copied from one file to another, the document scanned to be typed in again, the table updated by hand every Monday. You don't write a specification. We write it, you correct it.

Your application, module by module.

A common foundation runs everything: hosting, backups, maintenance, support, a single database for it all. On top, one module per part of your business. Three apply to everyone:

Diagram: your application rests on a common foundation (hosting, backups, maintenance, support, a single database). On top, three modules: quotes and invoicing, business processes, field applications, and room for an additional module.

  1. M1

    Quotes and invoicing.

From quote to invoice without re-keying, with your pricing rules and your terms.

  2. M2

    Business processes.

The core of what you do: orders, files, scheduling, follow-up, the way you do it.

  3. M3

    Field applications.

What your teams hold in their hands: rounds, inspections, photos, signatures, even with no signal.

You start with what's most pressing. A new module is scoped in a few days, added to the subscription, and shares the same data as the others: a customer entered once is known everywhere.

Then the AI assistants

Everyone is selling AI. Placed on a generic tool, it misses the point. Placed on your application, it knows your customers, your files, your rules. It then does three things, on your data:

  • Answer.

A business question, in plain language, based on what the application knows. Without digging through three screens.

  • Prepare.

A quote from a customer email, a report, a reminder. You review, you send.

  • Flag.

What needs attention before it costs you: a deadline, a file that's stalling, a gap with your rules.

  4. AssistantOne assistant per module
  5. Answer / actionAnswer, prepare, flag

One assistant per module, as an option. It comes after you've put the application and its use to the test, never before. And it is only delivered if it correctly answers 90% of your real questions.

Below that, we keep working on it, not you.

We build our own tools with AI, every day. What we put in your business is what works in ours.

02What we've already done

Two companies, two trades, the same method.

Case 01

A construction equipment rental company, Yvelines.

Before
Software that no longer kept up with their processes. Workshop inspections on paper, the drivers' schedule on a whiteboard. And every month, long-term rental invoices rebuilt by hand: when the equipment went out, at what rate, with what discount.
Today
Every piece of equipment is tracked from quote to return. The contract stays open while the equipment is with the customer, and long-term rentals are invoiced automatically each month. Drivers have their schedule and inspections on their phones.
  • 5 users, 300 pieces of equipment tracked individually, around 4,000 invoices a year.
  • Application delivered, rollout under way.

Case 02

A point-of-sale display and signage manufacturer, Île-de-France.

Before
Campaigns rolled out across dozens of stores in a few days, installation tracking passed around by phone, email and loose photos, a customer report rebuilt by hand.
Today
A campaign becomes a list of sites. The installer gets their route sheet on their phone, takes before and after photos, flags an issue from the field. The customer follows the rollout live, and the installation report exports in one click.
  • Around ten users, campaigns of 20 to 80 sites, installers on the road.

03How it works

You see it before you commit.

Three weeks of scoping, eight weeks of build in batches with a demo at each stage, then go-live and a one-month warranty. The clickable mock-up arrives in week 3: you decide on something real, not on a promise.

  1. W1 → W3

    Functional scoping

    Clickable mock-up in week 3

  2. W4 → W11

    Build

  3. W11 → W12

    Go-live

  4. W13 → W16

    Warranty · 1 month

Timeline: functional scoping from week 1 to 3, build from week 4 to 11, go-live in weeks 11 and 12, one-month warranty from week 13 to 16. Clickable mock-up in week 3.

Indicative timeline: the exact schedule is set during scoping, based on the scope.

Scoping is paid. On purpose.

We don't do rough free quotes.

We do the real work of understanding your trade, over three weeks, and we hand it over to you.

What you pay for, you keep, even if you then decide not to build with us.

What you get:

How we bill and what we commit to

  1. 01

    Scoping, billed once.

Invoiced on signature. The specification and mock-up are yours whatever happens.

  2. 02

    No build cost.

You don't pay for development. It is spread over the subscription, over time.

  3. 03

    Nothing before use.

The subscription starts the day your teams actually work on it, not on signature.

  4. 04

    One subscription: foundation plus modules.

A large module and a small one aren't priced the same, nor is a connector. You get the amount at the end of scoping, with the mock-up.

  5. 05

    Twenty-four months, then monthly.

That's what makes it possible to charge no build cost. After that, monthly renewal with no commitment.

  6. 06

    Included in the subscription

    Small improvements are included.

Hosting, backups, maintenance, support, and the small day-to-day improvements: a status to add, a field, an export, a screen to adjust. You ask, we do it, with no quote for each request, within the limit set in your contract. The application keeps improving with you.

A larger need, such as a new module, is scoped in a few days and added to the subscription.

04Who builds it

People who had the problem before solving it.

Build · may be subcontracted, under our responsibility
The Link & Develop team: consulting and engineering, and a project director with thirty years in the field. Part of the build may be subcontracted, under Link & Develop's responsibility.

Before Link & Develop, we ran a 38-person services company. We lived what you're living: the off-the-shelf software everyone works around, the spreadsheet that has the final say, the know-how stuck in two people's heads. We ended up building our own tools. That's when we understood that an application built on the way teams work changes more than one more piece of software.

The team is small and wears two hats, consulting and engineering, alongside a project director with thirty years in the field. Scoping and follow-up stay with us. Part of the build may be subcontracted, under our responsibility.

05

Questions we get asked

  • A paid scoping phase, billed once on signature. Then a monthly subscription, with no build cost, that starts at go-live. A twenty-four-month commitment, then monthly. The amount depends on the foundation and the modules you choose: we give it to you at the end of scoping, with the mock-up.

  • Small improvements are included in the subscription, within the limit set in your contract: a status to add, a field, an export, a screen to adjust. You ask, we do it, with no quote. A larger need, such as a new module, is scoped in a few days and added to the subscription.

  • Because that's what lets us charge no build cost and keep the subscription this low. Development is spread over time, not billed upfront.

  • Scoping is still due, but you leave with the clickable mock-up and the specification, written for you. They're yours, even if you don't build with us.

  • Nothing. We observe how you work, put it in writing, and you correct it. We write the specification.

  • Often, in part. Connectors link the application to the tools you keep, accounting for example. We replace what no longer keeps up, not what works.

  • Twelve weeks from signature to go-live: three of scoping, eight of build in batches, then go-live. A one-month warranty after that. It's an estimate; the exact schedule is set during scoping.

  • No, and that's deliberate. Assistants come after you've put the application and its real use to the test. An assistant is only delivered if it correctly answers 90% of real questions.

  • Monthly renewal, with no commitment. You keep the application as long as the subscription runs, and it keeps evolving with you.

Twenty minutes to find out if it's doable.

You tell us what's wasting your time. We tell you honestly whether a custom application is the right answer, and what it involves. No obligation.
